LA OMC SE REÚNE PARA IMPULSAR EL COMERCIO COMO OBJETIVO DEL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE

Esta semana en Ginebra ha comenzado una nueva reunión programada por la OMC que tiene por objeto impulsar el papel del comercio en los futuros objetivos del desarrollo sostenible. El director de la OMC, Roberto Azebedo pronunció su discurso en el qué entre otras cosas, destacó el papel central que en los últimos años el comercio ha desempeñado para sacar a millones de personas de la pobreza, por lo que comenzarían a trabajar para que el poder del comercio sea reconocido en las actuales discusiones sobre la agenda de desarrollo pos 2015.

THE WTO IS MEETING TO PUSH FOR TRADE AS A GOAL OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This week in Geneva has begun a new meeting scheduled by the WTO aimed at push the role of trade in the future objectives of sustainable development. The head of the WTO, Roberto Azevedo delivered his speech in which among other things highlighted the central role trade has played to lift millions of people out of poverty in recent years and would start working for the trade to be recognized in the current discussions on the post- 2015 development agenda.
